Robert Venturi (American, 1925- ) for Knoll International "Queen Anne" chair-circa 1984, white laminate over molded plywood, apparently unmarked. Post modern chair recalling the form of traditional Queen Anne chairs with shaped and pierced back and reinterpreting in modern terms with streamlined form and new materials for construction of chair. Chair with grey wool seat cushion. Overall approximate height 38.5", width 26.75", depth 23.75". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Ann Jacob of Highlands, North Carolina.
