Eugène Laurent Vail (American/French, 1857-1934) Soir de Novembre, Dordrecht. Signed "Eugene Vail" l.l., titled in two places on the stretcher with various other inscriptions, stamped "MADAME G:VAIL A" and inscribed "177" in ink and "#43" in pencil on a partial label from Garde-Meuble Maple affixed to the stretcher. Oil on canvas, 19 1/4 x 25 3/4 in., unframed. Condition: Minor surface grime. Estimate $300-500 Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
