18kt Gold, Enamel, and Pearl Chronograph Quarter-repeating Open-face Watch, Henry Sandoz, Switzerland, 18th/19th century, no. 1577, pearl-set rims with roman numeral porcelain dial marked "Henry Sandoz/Le Locle," with outer minute track, gold hands with inset diamonds, burgundy- and gilt-decorated case edge, polychrome guilloche- and enamel-decorated case back depicting a central parrot surrounded by clusters of flowers, movement regulator engraved "Henry Sandoz Locle Suisse," engraved gold working plate depicting a coat of arms, manual-wind, stem-set, stem-wind movement with dual gongs, chronograph activated by crown pusher, dia. 53 mm, 134g. Estimate $1,500-2,500 case in overall very nice condition with surface scratches to case back, dial clean with no hairlines or chips, currently winding, setting and ticking, time accuracy has not been tested.
