E. Howard & Co. U.S. Navy Deck Clock, no. 265, hinged brass case enclosing the 6 1/4-in. dia. engraved roman numeral brass dial marked "U.S. Navy/E. Howard & Co. Boston, U.S.A.," with running seconds at 6, thirty-hour spring powered movement with platform escapement, no. 00252 marked as above, case dia. 8 in. Estimate $800-1,200 winding setting and ticking, hands appear to be original but re-painted. According to the consignor this clock was given to him by a WWII veteran.
