Philadelphia Walnut Tall Clock, William Huston, c. 1770, central carved flame finial atop the swan's neck carved hood with delicate dentil molding decoration, freestanding fluted turned columns flank the composite brass dial, applied spandrels representing the four seasons, roman numeral silvered chapter ring, engraved floral center, silvered seconds and date aperture wheels, name boss in arch reading "Willm. Huston/Philada.," full-length figured waist door, figured base panel, fluted quarter-columns adorn mid and lower case section, all resting on ogee bracket feet, eight-day time and hour-strike movement with footed plates, regulated by a pendulum and two iron weights, ht. 94 in. without finial. Estimate $4,000-6,000 new wooden pendulum rod with period bob. Movement complete but was not running when picked up from house. We recommend all movements get cleaned and lubricated. Overall very nice condition with original feet, swans neck, finial a replacement. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
