Single-owner Rolex Daytona Cosmograph Reference 6263 "Sigma" Dial Wristwatch, c. 1973, stainless steel case, black tachymetre insert, black dial with silver concentric turned subsidiary dials, white gold markers, "T Swiss T" flanked by the Greek Sigma symbols, screw-down crown and pushers, 17-jewel, manual-wind, caliber 727 movement, inside case back stamped "6262," dia. 37.5 mm. Note: The current owner was given this watch by a girlfriend in 1973. He was an avid sailor at the time and was in need of a dependable waterproof watch for navigational purposes as dead reckoning with the assistance of Radio Direction Finding (RDF) stations was the standard tool at that time.
