19th Century Philadelphia Cased Amputation Set, signed "Gemrig," brass-bound velvet-lined case, fitted with interior tray complete with a set of signed steel instruments, crosshatch-decorated wooden handles, and two signed brass tourniquets, wd. 16 1/2 in. Note: Gemrig was one of the companies that supplied sets to the Union Army. Estimate $1,500-2,000 this complete signed Philadelphia set is an example rarely seen in this condition.
