Bidjar Rug, Iran, c. 1900, 6 ft. 8 in. x 4 ft. 7 in. Estimate $400-600 Fair to good condition: very good drawing, weave, wool quality, wool foundation, evenly low pile, the red field color is painted on (typical of many rugs imported to the U.S. in the 1920s); minor edge damage middle of right side, original sides and lower end, upper end missing approximately 1/2 inch.
