Chae Yongshin (1850-1941), Hanging Scroll Portrait of an Official, Korea, 1933, sitting in a tiger skin chair, dressed in an official robe decorated with a rank badge with white cranes, in a painted border, inscribed with date, signature, and seal, ink and color on silk, details in silver, painting 41 1/2 x 24 1/2 in. Estimate $3,000-5,000 multiple spots detached from the cotton backing, cracking to pigment paticularly to white, torn edges, traces of minor touch ups.
