Signed "Miró" in pencil l.r., numbered "43/50" in pencil l.l., inscribed "Mambo" in pencil along the lower edge on the reverse. Color etching and aquatint on paper, plate size 45 x 29 in. (114.2 x 73.4 cm), framed. Condition: Pale staining to image l.l., minor handling creases (most prominent to edge of image l.l.), not examined out of frame. Provenance: A private Massachusetts collection. N.B. This work is titled Mambo on the verso, but Dupin titles this composition Danseuse Créole, and gives the Mambo title to a closely related composition (see Dupin, 1002). Estimate $5,000-7,000 Framed dimensions: 62 3/4 x 45 1/2 inches. Full sheet with deckled edges, tape hinges to the upper edge on the verso affixed to the backing mat, five inch horizontal crease to l.l. quadrant, three inch handling crease l.r. quadrant, there is pale mat burn, plus gentle toning, indistinct pencil marking to l.l. on verso (see condition photos). The frame needs repair. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
