Burton Deford Dechert Jr. (American, 1906-1983) Thirteen Images of Jacqueline Bouvier (Kennedy Onassis). Four with studio dry stamp "DEFORD DECHERT HARTFORD" l.r. Various photographic media including gelatin silver prints, sheet sizes to 8 x 10 in. (20.2 x 25.4 cm), unmatted, unframed. Condition: Some with minor crimps to edges, some gently toned, some with pencil annotations to verso. Provenance: A gift from the artist to the current owner in the 1960s. N.B. According to his obituary published in the Hartford Courant on November 1, 1983, page 18, Dechert shot "...yearbook pictures for Miss Porter's School in Farmington for decades, and Dechert photographed Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis when she was a student there."
