John Ferguson Weir (American, 1841-1926) Summer Haystacks Unsigned. Oil on board, 19 1/2 x 30 in. (49.5 x 76.2 cm), unframed. Condition: Scattered wear, primarily to edges, scattered minor surface grime. Provenance: By descent in the family of the artist. Estimate $1,000-1,500 The work is presented without a frame. There is an abrasion in the center of the work located in the barn wall to the left of the haystacks. Please see condition photos. It is possible that this was just an imperfection in the surface of the board. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
