Attributed to Anton Mauve (Dutch, 1838-1888) Farmstead Rooftops Unsigned, attributed and dated "... ca. 1880" in an inscription on the frame backing cardboard. Charcoal and chalk on paper, 8 7/8 x 11 7/8 in. (22.5 x 30.0 cm), framed. Condition: Subtle toning, minor smudging, affixed to back mat with brown paper tape at the center of each vertical side of the recto. Estimate $800-1,200 Framed dimensions are 18 3/8 x 20 7/8 x 1 1/2 inches. Numbered "646/12" in pencil on the reverse. No other notations or inscriptions on the reverse.
