Set of Seven Carved Mahogany Shield-back Side Chairs, probably Rhode Island, the molded backs with central feathered plume flanked by drapery swags converging at a carved lunette, all on molded tapering legs, (chairs lack upholstery and diagonal seat bracing), ht. 38 1/2, seat ht. 16 in. Estimate $20-200 Probably bench made chairs about a century old, chairs originally had diagonal bracing in the frames, two remain intact.
