Vernon Howe Bailey (American, 1874-1953) Five New York City Scene Pen Drawings: Harvard Club; St. Paul's Cathedral from Rockefeller Plaza; View from RKO Building and South from 49th Street; Wall Street as seen from South Street; and 71st Regt. Armory - Vanderbilt Hotel. All signed in ink in the lower margin, three dated "1934," one dated "1935" in ink, titled in the lower margins, St. Paul's, RKO, and Vanderbilt with a detailed inscription identifying the location, RKO with preparatory sketch on the verso. Ink on heavy paper, sheet sizes to 22 x 15 in., unmatted, and unframed. Condition: Gently light-struck, grime and smudging to margins and some edges, small scattered areas of whiting outside of images, minor creasing, a few tack holes to corners.
