Two Gold and Garnet Brooches, a Victorian bow brooch, c. 1850, set with a crescent-shape cabochon, engraved accents; and a later example with pear-shape cabochon and burr motifs, reverse with compartment, lg. 2 1/4, 1 3/4 in.
