Nine Mostly Utagawa School Woodblock Print Portraits, Japan, each depicting a warrior or courtesan, one by Utagawa Toyokuni (1769-1825); one by Toyoshige (1777-1835); five by Kunisada (1786-1865); one by Kuniyoshi (1798-1861); and one by Keisai Eisen (1790-1848), all oban tate-e, framed and glazed, sight sizes to 15 x 9 7/8 in. Estimate $800-1,000 not examined out of frame, all with wear and tear, overall toning, some with repaired tears, water damages, creases, stains, foxing, and mat burning.
