Tay Chee Toh (b. 1941) Watercolor Playful Lovers, Malaysia, 1968, depicting a bare-chested reclining woman with a man, against a green background, signed "Chee Toh" in Chinese characters with a seal, on rice paper, inscribed in English on the reverse, 17 7/8 x 37 1/2 in. Provenance: Purchased from the artist in the late 1960s, sold to the current owner in the 1990s. Estimate $1,500-2,000 backed and cut, tears, creases, and losses along edges, dent marks to some areas, extensive water damage, toning.
