19th century. Anglo Indian ivory and tortoiseshell lidded dresser box with reticulated and pierced ivory meshwork and strapwork on tops and sides. Escutcheon on front panel, missing key. Dark purple to black velvet lined fabric interior. Box raised on carved lion's paw feet. Unmarked. Height 2.6", width 5.25", depth 4". Provenance: From a Private Collection in Rabun Gap, Georgia.
