Black-painted Heart and Crown Bannister-back Armchair, Connecticut, 18th century, the crest with arched lower edge above four molded balusters and flanked by turned stiles continuing to shaped arms and unusual turned medial stretchers, rush seat, and boldly turned base of double stretchers, ht. 47 1/2, seat ht. 17 in.
