Tin-glazed Earthenware Posset Pot and Cover, England, 17th century, bulbous form with scrolled handles and spout, polychrome floral decoration, ht. 7 1/2 in. Estimate $400-600 Glaze losses on the rim and handles; fine hairline stress cracks in body; the back of the pot has an area of apparent glaze and decoration restoration, but there is no evidence of repair on the inside; the lid shows evidence of restoration to about 2 1/2 in. of the rim as well as glaze restoration to the underside of the rim in another area.
