British School, 19th Century Fishermen by Woodland Falls. Unsigned, a label from J. Clark, Carver Gilder, Leicester, affixed to the frame. Oil on panel, 28 x 19 1/4 in., framed. Condition: Panel with vertical crack l.l. with corresponding partial cradle to the reverse, canvas patch to reverse of panel at u.c., retouch to sky, craquelure, surface grime. Estimate $300-500 Inscriptions of varying age on the reverse, including "Rockman" written in ink on a fragmentary label. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging. Any condition statement given, as a courtesy to a client, is only an opinion and should not be treated as a statement of fact. Skinner shall have no responsibility for any error or omission.
