Two Boxed Sets of Silver Flatware, a set of two shell-form salt cellars and spoons by W. H. Lyde, and a gilded set lacking hallmarks, comprising twelve teaspoons, a pierced sugar spoon with pointed terminal, sugar tongs, and a small cream ladle, each with a reticulated leaf motif to stem. N.B. A 1959 bill of sale accompanies the gilded set, which describes them as c. 1750. Estimate $200-400 Salts in good overall condition, spoons bent slightly, case with typical wear to leather and interior silk. Larger set in good condition with very light surface, case in poor condition with broken hinge, wear to exterior. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
