Chinese, Early 20th century, possibly earlier. Group of two similar famille rose decorated porcelain containers comprising of a two layer stackable storage container with gilt foo dog on lid; and a vessel or pot with removable white glazed bowl or basin with metal handles hanging from applied gilt accents mounts. Lower portion likely missing lid or can be joined as a marriage to top stacked section. Both components unmarked and decorated with flowers, butterflies and other insects like grasshoppers and dragonflies on white ground. Height of stacked containers (to top of finial) approximately 5.75". Height of basin set container approximately 5.25".Provenance: Estate of Mr. Charles Edward Brodnax "Ned" Hansell, Mimosa Hall, Atlanta, Georgia.
