George III Carved Giltwood Mirror, England, late 18th/early 19th century, crest with pierced C-scrolls flanked by confronting fenghuang birds, scrolling side garlands, apron with pierced C-scrolls, ht. 38 3/4, wd. 32 1/2 in. Provenance: Estate of Dan Paul, sold for the benefit of the Harvard Art Museum. Estimate $800-1,200 Re-gilt, crack to the neck of left hand bird. Other age expected wear.
