Brass-mounted Burl Veneer Desk Box, probably England, 19th century, with matched burl panels and brass handles, opens to a slanted two-part writing surface which hinges above two open compartments, with pen tray and pigeonholes, (minor veneer cracking, oxidation to handles), ht. 7 1/4, dp. 10 1/2, wd. 20 in.
