Fitzgerald, F. Scott (1896-1940) The Beautiful and the Damned, First Edition, Ex Libris Sheilah Graham. New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1922. First edition, with Scribner's seal on copyright page, octavo, worn, lacking dust jacket, signed on ffep by Sheilah Graham (1904-1988), inner joints taped, rubber stamp dated March 17, 1955, inside back board, 7 1/2 x 5 in. Graham was a syndicated Hollywood columnist originally born in England who met Fitzgerald in California. The two shared a close romantic relationship for three and a half years. Graham was the person who found Fitzgerald's body in the West Hollywood apartment that they shared in 1940. She left a lasting monument to Fitzgerald, her autobiographical book, Beloved Infidel, that was also made into a feature film.
