James Walter Gozzard (English, 1862-1939). "Evening Shadows", watercolor on paper, signed lower right "JW Gozzard" and titled lower left "Evening Shadows". Painting depicts a pair of travelers on a dirt path leading away from water, a man with two horses headed toward the water, and architectural structures along the banks, with two bare trees in the left foreground and a flock of birds overhead. Frontal plaque reads "Evening Shadows, JW Gozzard". Framed 22.5" x 26.5", sight size 14" x 17.5".
