Margaret Jordan Patterson (American, 1867-1950) Lone Pine at Sunset. Signed "Margaret Patterson" in pencil within the image l.r. Color woodcut on paper, image/sheet size 7 1/4 x 10 1/8 in. (18.4 x 25.6 cm), framed. Condition: Bright colors, loss to image near corner u.r., minor creases, not examined out of frame. Estimate $500-700 There is a long narrow loss in the top right corner, approximately 1cm in length, which has been masked by coloring on the mat underneath. Titled "Scrub Pines - Cape Cod" and signed on the verso. Glue residue to all four corners and several pale fox marks. Current hinges are made of brown paper tape. Small creases on the edges, possibly part of the print making process. The print is warmer than it appears in photos. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
