Two Georgian Mahogany Side Chairs, England, late 18th/early 19th century, arched crest rail with carved "ears," pierced splat, slip seat, squared legs joined by stretchers, ht. 36 3/4, wd. 22, dp. 20 1/2; the other with arched crest with curved "ears" and beaded edges, pierced splat, over-rail velvet upholstery, squared legs joined by stretchers, ht. 38, wd. 22, dp. 20 1/2 in. Estimate $200-300 chair with slip seat: break to left stile, rear leg tenon wormed and loose, repairs to both front legs, one stretcher missing; the other seat frame rebuilt, soiled upholstery.
