Wedgwood Majolica Figural Centerpiece/Compote, England, c. 1869, modeled in the manner of Hughes Protat, polychrome enamel decorated, the circular sawtooth rim bowl mounted with fruiting festoons and set atop a tall reedy grass stem with three cherubs alternating with three shell dishes, the base with laurel and berry festoons, shells and scrolled feet, impressed mark, ht. 11 7/8, dia. 9 5/8 in.
