Julius Tanzer (American, 1905-1963) Harlem Revival Signed "Julius Tanzer" l. r. Charcoal and pencil on pressed paperboard, 14 1/2 x 17 1/2 in. (36.8 x 44.4 cm), unframed. Condition: Toning, scattered stains, creases, small tears, and small losses to edges and corners. Estimate $300-500 Stain consisting of a cluster of small brown spots to l.c. measures 3/4 x 1 inches overall and extends slightly nto the bottom of the drawing. Scattered small dots and soiling to the margins, with toning along the outer edges. Two small surface accretions, presenting as white dots, on the foreground woman's skirt. Surfaces may have been sprayed with fixative. Corners of paperboard all show wear. Stamped "C.P." inlower right corner of the reverse.
