Single sheet of laid paper inscribed on both sides, titled "Private" at the top, to Dr. Blackwell's niece Alice Stone Blackwell (1857-1950), regarding various investments and their future suitability to sustain her adopted daughter, Kitty Barry (1848–1936), managed as they are by Elizabeth's brother George (1832-1912) in the States, mentioning, "I have always looked forward to Kitty going ultimately to New England," and therefore suggesting investments based there; full transcription available upon request, 7 x 4 1/4 in.
