Booth, John Wilkes (1838-1865) Clipped Signature in an Autograph Book, c. 1858. Octavo-format album bound in brown morocco, blocked ornately in gilt with a passion-flower design on front board and spine, and in blind on back board; Booth's signature clipped from a document printed on blue paper, with tape discoloration to left and right ends, 3 3/4 x 1 in.; the album contains additional material signed by Charles Sumner, Winfield Scott, Lewis Cass, Horace Mann, Martin van Buren, William Seward, William King, and a few others, along with some inserted items; 7 3/4 x 5 in.
