Currier, Nathaniel (1813-1888) A Small Archive. Including: two autograph letters signed to a Mr. Jewell at the Currier & Ives office address at 152 Nassau Street, New York, New York, dated March and May, 1858, in one Currier states that if Jewell wishes to cease being executor of an estate, Currier will pay his mother and give up any interests of his own, "I wish to hold no property that subjects me or my friends to abuse. I have acquired an ample fortune, quietly and good naturedly and wish to remain so."; in the second letter he mentions sending an Aunt Ann to Lion's Mouth, and other family news; one unidentified letter from 1890 addressed to Jonathan Peaslee Little (d. 1913) and Addie Little [nee Mary A. Jewell] (d. 1910) on Lion's Mouth Road, Amesbury, Massachusetts, sent from 28 West 27th Street, New York, on mourning letter paper, asking that the Littles keep the carriage; J.P. Little's diary for 1867, which mentions visiting the Curriers in February (twice), April, June (twice), and July; [and] six mid to late 19th century photographs from the same source, by way of the Littles, who lived as close neighbors to the Curriers in Amesbury, Massachusetts.
