Manuscript on Parchment, Missal, Dominican Order, Calatayud, Spain, 1704. Very large manuscript on parchment accomplished by members of the Dominican Order in the Province of Zaragoza, the city then called Bilbilis, under Father Joseph Didacus de Lucia and Laurentius Villacampa; with dated title page painted within a large ornate frame in yellow, brown, pink, green, and red; with music from the first Sunday of Advent until the third Sunday of Lent, with several very large (nearly half page) initials painted in colors; musical notation with five lines in the staves, text in black, red, and colors, throughout; 139 numbered leaves, bound in full contemporary heavy-duty wooden boards covered in parchment with metal clasps, catches, and other fittings, 30 x 20 1/2 in.
