Model 1860 Naval Cutlass, Scabbard, and Frog, c. 1862, brass hilt with a leather-wrapped wooden grip, marked on one side of the ricasso "AMES MFG." and N.J," and on the other "U.S.N./D.R/1862," with a leather scabbard with brass frog stud and copper rivets, and a blackened buff leather frog, blade lg. 26, overall lg. 32 in. Provenance: The collection of Ron Tunison. Estimate $300-500 Wire wrap is missing on the grip but in overall very good condition. Frog has a small stitched repair above the stud hole.
