French Model 1777 Musket and Bayonet, c. 1814, .71 bore, walnut stock with iron fittings, lock marked "Maubeuge/Manuf" with a "7" near the pan, breech marked with an "A," and "8E. LN. 93" with "LECHEVIN" on the barrel tang, and "B/1814" on the left side of the breech, with a bayonet, barrel lg. 42, overall lg. 57 1/2 in. Provenance: The collection of Ron Tunison.
