Model 1816 Flintlock Pistol from the Family of Simeon North, c. 1817-20, .54 bore, walnut stock with a cartouche on the left side along with two stamped initials, and a white-painted "391" just behind the upper side nail, left side just above the butt cap also marked "391," iron fittings, lock plate marked "S. NORTH/US/MIDLN CON.," breech of the barrel marked "P/US," with a note showing the descent of the pistol, barrel lg. 9 1/8, overall lg. 15 1/2 in. Provenance: By family descent to the consignor. Estimate $800-1,200 Stock has some dings and nicks and a crack in front of the trigger guard, mainspring ramrod is missing as is the mainspring, iron parts are a brown color.
