Model 1816 Flintlock Musket, c. 1837, .70 bore, walnut stock with steel fittings, lock marked with an eagle and "US" in front of the cock, "HARPERS/FERRY/1837" on the tail, breech marked "V/P" with an eagle, barrel lg. 42, overall lg. 58 in. Estimate $1,500-2,000 Stock has a few dings and nicks with some small loss near the barrel tang, barrel has some pitting near the breech, the rest of the fittings have some plum/brown patina, and the lock functions properly with a strong mainspring.
