Massachusetts Cheesebox Canteen, c. early 19th century, black-painted canteen marked on the obverse in red with "M.S." over "U.S.," reverse maker-marked with "E.BURR" and initials "W.H," with leather strap tabs, dia. 7 1/4, wd. 2 1/8 in. Estimate $300-500 Some wear and paint loss from use but in overall good condition. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
