U.S.A.," and "SMITH'S PATENT/JUNE 23 1857," octagonal to round barrel marked on the left side "L.F.R.," barrel lg. 21 5/8, overall lg. 39 1/4 in. Estimate $700-900 Stock has a few dings and nicks and two cut notches on the top of the butt, receiver retains some of the original color case hardening, the action functions properly, and the bore is dirty with good rifling.
