Model 1868 Springfield Rifle, c. 1870, serial number 46693, bore .50, walnut stock (missing a piece under the lock), lock dated "1864," marked on the top of the breechblock "1870" over an eagle and "US," barrel lg. 32 1/2, overall lg. 52 in. Estimate $500-700 Stock has some dings and nicks as well as a piece missing on the bottom of the lock, metal bright to plum with some very light rust and the action functions properly.
