Carved Mahogany Side Chair, Philadelphia area, c. 1760-80, the shaped crest above a pierced gothic splat carved with subtle projecting foliate details, on a trapezoidal slip seat, and shaped skirt with through-tenon construction joining cabriole front legs ending in claw-and-ball feet, and rounded rear legs, ht. 18 1/2 in. Estimate $400-600 glue blocks replaced, some replacements to returns. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
