Chip-carved Slide-lid Larch Box, New England, c. 1674, the box carved from a single block of wood with geometric border, one side carved "1674 W I.B," the bottom carved "1674," and the lid with geometric chip carving, (replaced lid), ht. 2 1/4, wd. 6 3/4, dp. 3 1/2 in.
