Maple and Pine Bucket Bench Cupboard, Pennsylvania, mid-19th century, the shaped sides joining a molded cornice, and two shelves above a paneled cupboard section and shelf below, on cutout ends, refinished, ht. 63 1/2, wd. 37 1/2, dp. 17 in. Provenance: A 1992 dated note affixed to the interior of one of the paneled doors signed by Don Donahue, Owner, reads "Bert Guest, Chads [sic] Ford, Pa. dealer sold to Andrew Wyeth the artist. Some time later Guest got a piece Wyeth also liked so he traded back this bucket bench for the new pc... I arrived the same day Guest got the piece and bought it and shortly thereafter sold it to Mr. & Mrs. Tom Randon in Fairfax Station. They have just decided to sell it."
