Set of Six Paint-decorated Chairs, probably Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, c. 1820-30, original light green painted surface with yellow striping, the tablets freehand-painted with fruit flanked by foliate motifs, (paint wear), ht. 34 1/2, seat ht. 18 in. Provenance: Olde Hope Antiques. Estimate $800-1,200 seats worn bare, other high points with good wear as well. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
