Chippendale Mahogany Chest of Four Drawers, probably eastern Pennsylvania, late 18th century, the molded top with cut corners above a case of four thumb-molded drawers on ogee bracket feet, refinished, old replaced brasses, (imperfections), ht. 32 1/2, case wd. 31 3/4, case dp. 19 in. The property of Carolyn and Tom Porter Estimate $1,000-1,500 platforms added to underside of feet (some platforms with small breaks); minor shrinkage cracks, small scratches/gouges on one side of piece; backboard with renailing.
