Diminutive Yellow-painted and Paint-decorated Work or Dressing Table, possibly Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, c. 1830, with large demilune drawer below opening to the right side, original surface with green leafage and gilt-stenciled flowers, (imperfections and minor paint wear), ht. 35 1/2, wd. 24 1/2, dp. 18 in. Note: A note affixed to the inside of the drawer reads: "This dressing table was probably brought from Martha's Vineyard in 1820. My father, born in 1800, had no remembrance of its coming into the possession of the family. Elizabeth C. Allen."
