Unusual Juvet & Co. Relative Time Globe, Canajoharie, New York, c. 1880, 12-in. terrestrial globe with maker's boss marked "Relative Time Globe/Manufactured by Juvet & Co./Canajoharie, N.Y.," printed paper arabic numeral dial on the horizontal ring displaying local time throughout the world, brass meridian ring calibrated in quadrants 0-90 degrees, three engraved stars on the meridian bracket, gilt-painted wooden column mounted to the gilt-painted iron base, ht. 30 in. Note: This globe does not separate at the equator, and there is no indication of an interior clock mechanism. The meridian ring construction does not appear to be consistent with known Time Globe clocks. Estimate $1,500-2,500 globe gores in overall very nice condition, horizon paper dial is lacking portion between 5 and 11, wooden column missing a piece at bottom.
